A Poem

As the sun sets on the farmer's land,

A peaceful scene, so quiet and grand

The fields are still, the work is done,

Another day complete, another battle won.

The colors dance across the sky,

Painting a picture, none can deny.

But in the distance, a shadow looms,

Whispering of impending dooms

For the farmer knows his time is near,

His life's work ending, no need to fear.

He looks back on all he's sown,

And knows his legacy will be known.

As the sun dips below the horizon,

The farmer closes his weary eyes.

His soul takes flight, his body at rest.

Leaving behind a life of worthiness and zest.
